What makes The Lice Dr. unique?   First, we're an emergency mobile lice removal service,  offering convenience and discretion in the privacy of your home. There is no hassle or packing everyone up and going to hang out with other people's lice in a lice salon.

Second, our philosophy is thorough education on facts and understanding, as 1 in 4 kids gets lice. So understanding how to prevent an infestation is critical. It is not a matter of "if" you will get infested; rather it is a matter of "when".

What is our process? We leverage an all natural eradication process. Hair needs to be cleaned & detangled prior to our visit.  Ideally, we set up & work in the kitchen, where lighting & seating height is best.  We check everyone in home (key requirement), usually starting with least likely affected to most likely affected. 

How long does it take? Each head can take between 1 to 2+ hours, depending on degree of lice infestation.

Is a paid follow up appointment required? Sometimes. If it is a serious infestation or all family members cannot be checked at initial visit, yes a paid follow up may be required.

How much does it cost?   Head checks are $35 per head; the treatment fee is either $125 or $175 per head (head check fee waived if we treat). Additionally, there is a service fee of $125 for Fulton, Dekalb, Cobb and Gwinnett counties. **We may serve families after 5 pm and we may service other areas. These are handled on a case-by-case basis, so please inquire.

What payments do we accept?   We accept Venmo, Zelle and credit cards.

Do we have a guarantee? Yes!   We guarantee our process, that we cover in detail during the visit. It must be followed daily for 2 weeks by the family. Lice treatments are not a one-and-done, so this is imperative to the success of eradicating this infestation and avoiding future ones!

Requirements for guarantee? All family members + caregivers available at initial visit for checking + treatment. After specialists leaves, a daily quick comb of infested individuals for 2 weeks to be completed by family. All communication, if needed, sent to us via email (not text) during this 14 day period.
